Did seeing this make you feel small?

All of the stars in "the size of our world" and all the stars you can see in the sky are only in our galaxy.

What lies beyond?

Space as we know it

Think I saw a part of a documentary about a supersmart guy, think it was from that site, could even have been posted by you.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ALL THIS?!?!?!?!
internet = .
CB = (OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO)
U know what's rly strange?
That we(humanity) know more about space than about what's inside our planet

whatever you are trying to tell me, we know a fucking lot less about our universe than about our planet.
Parent
what's outside we know almost everything, but not what's inside. It's too hard to drill to the centre of earth. Noone did it but many tried :)
Parent
i really doubt that.
Parent
you know whats strange? that you seem to know more about space than that you see how stupid you are
Parent
dont chat shit you ignoramus
Parent
NOT!

The actual saying is that we know more about the moon than about our oceans, that´s true. You mixed something up here I guess.
Parent
not our oceans, litosphere and stuff like this.
Parent
watch donnie darko and you'll understand EVERYTHING
check your dick, now THATS how small we are!!
Even more fascinating to try not to look at it from the common human perspective, which involves feelings of wow we are so small or wow the universe is so big.
well you have no option but to look at the universe in a different perspective as it is larger than the human brain can comprehend.

Universe is probaply one of the most interesting things out there.
and yet mankind believes it's the centre of everything..
Everything that ever happened in your life on social aspect did happen on this planet we call Earth, so from a social perspective we indeed are, in our own conscious reality, the centre of everything..

What's small, as far as size is incrementally infinite, it is also likewise decrementally infinite. Size is no more than a human definition, related to our own interpretation of what's large and small compared to ourself.

QuoteWhat lies beyond?

Infinity ;)
ow cmon :D u know that aint some random bullshit what I just said
Parent
saying that u feel small would be huge overrate :D, more like close to microscopical
I want that lens for my analogue canon eos!
It´s actually quite interesting to think about that kind of stuff and to take a look how the universe is structured, can be really mind blowing :) A funny thing to me is that many of the stars we can see probably don´t exist anymore since thousands of years.
so the stars we are seeing now is only a blur of the original :x
