Well I'm not exactly a hardware hero so I'd like to get some help with putting my new pc together. It should be ordered from a german website the price should be somewhere inbetween 600 and 800 euro and it should be suitable for ET/Wolfenstein, video editing and designing. (btw, taxes, steuer excluded)
Please help crossfire! :)

recommend kmelektronik via www.geizhals.at/deutschland/ comtech/mindfactory/HOH are fine too
My friends 4870 got to 100c and crashed half way through GTA. It runs fucking hot compared to my 8800gt which is around 60c on load.
Well clearly you aren't really that informed.. Just because it’s top on a benchmark on tom's hardware doesn't mean it’s without its faults..
e.g. this is from AMD's website, but I doubt you could read it all as it is forty fucking pages long...

Looks like a lack of proper airflow xD
You can also get a 4870 out of shop without a refference cooler (liek the sapphire one)

Stock coolers are around 65c loaded
65c on stock.. lies lies lies
l2r
Guys posted in your comments have way lower temps then 65c cause they use other kind of cooling. If you look up the guys using stock coolers you'll see that most of them are around 60-65 (normal conditions...)
Working part time with pcs tells me from experience without a few 120mm fans, running a stock 4870 will be 70c + on load..
What are you basing your claims on? Some random thread from the internetz?
I'm running a 3870X2 OC and it never gets warmer than 85c on load, and then we're talking about two chips and stock cooling
Those forums just support my thoughts ;)
Luckily sapphire replaced it for free..
might be, but who actually plays in that resolution to need such a monster for more than the double price (if you mean this one http://geizhals.at/deutschland/a344933.html). you take a sledgehammer to crack a nut!
also if you look at power consumption, omfg you can supply a mid sized city with electricity for more than a year if you abandon that "thing".
I will also be able to play games fluently for the next year (at least) and thats why Im more than happy to pay double the price, whereas ATI has driver problems with serveral of the new games, which result in game crashes, graphics errors and as already mentioned overheating.
In our last discussion about AMD/Intel stuff you just resigned and stopped replying when you realized the facts. Just keep on fanboying, I will always have a good laugh :)
the 750(?) even beats the i7 if not same score, and the price different is from sky to earth

LMAO the lowest i7 is twice as fast, dunno where you have your infos from :F
Sure, it´s more expensive but you almost get the double performance.
You can argue with price/performance ratio, where AMD is partially better, but please stop comparing absolute performance, you will make no mark. I would be done too if I had to argue with such a clueless crap :D

So let´s stop it right here, I could go on forever and the results will always be the same and you will continue wearing your blinders.
hey lets stop it, make peace, both cpus are good, the end
I don´t read anything about gaming here, do you? It´s an absolute statement comparing Phenoms to i7s. So articulate yourself clearly next time.
make peace, both cpus are good, the end
maybe some intel CPUS are faster now, but TODAY you get the best for your money with AMD and ATI.
you seem to know :) Ive never had intel processor because they are so expensive, but i promised myself that next upgrade is gonna be INTEL .now after checking prices that phenom is tempting indeed,
basically intels got some faster CPUs, but they are way more expensive.
