mic volume @ low-

okay so I just got a new sick comp, but my mic volume is very low, my out and inbound are the highest that they are, yet i have to go all the way up to my mic for my friends to hear me.

My sound card is like Realtek HD Audio

on vista theres some "microphone boost" option at the sound settings,., 0 -> +30

My brother had the same on his new pc with realtek hd. I think it's a known bug.

solution: use a usb headset (worked for my bro)

- Make sure your microphone's physical volume slider is set on max (if your mic has one)
- Check Windows' recording volumes
- Increase outbound volume slider if you're using Ventrilo
- Buy a new mic
- Buy a new soundcard
