start a computer.

I know their is some features to start your computer without turn it on self while clicking on the start button, through network, infrared etc but that is kinda shit imo !.

Do u know if it is any controll that u can use to just start the computer?
I want to hide the computer a little bit :/

u can boot from ur keyboard ...
u should find theese settings in ur BIOS (Power Options)

ey i fixed that now, could not choose keyboard98 function since my keyboard dont have a power button. but i enabled start from keyboard and i choosed a password. Then i tunred off computer to try, and how the fuck do i start it then :D?
i pressed everybutton on the keyboard and nothings happens :p

try typing password to switch it on + check if it should be PS/2 or usb

i tried that, did not work. yeah maybe it doesent work with usb keyboardz, going to read my manual on the motherboooaaaaaard

you dont need a power button, u can press any key as far as i know ...

and check (like h8m3 said) if the "keyboard-power-on" needs usb or ps2 (guess ps2 but im not sure)

Found this:

On my old Gigabyte K8N Ultra-9 in BIOS I found boot on password enter - simply type key sequence and computer is switches on!

But just think...... when your pc is off, your keyboard doesn't work!!!!

You can set it to standby and use the keyboard to wake it up.

yeh i read it. so if u hide it in...eg. a cupboard. is it still that difficult to press the button? just wondering, it's your decision but if you don't really know how to do that stuff there's still the option to press the button, unless you "hide" it so well, that you can't access it anymore.
