9800M GTS vs. macbook pro

i wonder what is better:
my notebook: 9800M GTS 512mb
or airbook pro which got two graphic cards:
Quote
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor; 512MB of GDDR3 memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory3

i dont know how this works.. it isn´t SLI isnt it? And if it works like SLI , games which wont support SLI will run much much better with the 9800M GTS .. but nearly everygame supports it today?

ask cuttP
ask cuttyP
9800M GTS 512mb
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor; 512MB of GDDR3 memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory3

Try those :D
pm cuttyP, he'll know

Edit: easy

9800 = 9800

9600+ 9400 = 19000

-> IT'S OVER NINETEENTHOUSAND
-> Apple wins
Now that's why u failed your last mathematics exam :D

I dont think it matters if the game supports it or not... Its just the performance of 1 graphic card is 100% right... But when you have 2 graphic cards in SLI its not 100%+100% = 200% but its like 140% so you pay for 2 graphic cards but the performance will be not double....:>
9800M GTS ofc...
It's not SLI, its probably a compromise between performance and battery life. You can toggle between them, use the 9400 when you don't need überperformance and get longer battery life, and use the 9600GT when you're pr0gaming.
okay not needed at all
9800 GTS >apple

its not sli, you can switch between both cards. if ur running 3d stuff or edit or whatever you can use the GT power, for the rest u can use the standard 9600M power.

So its a nice compromise for laptops. It can be fast and it can be battery saving!

Ooh, clever coverup there ;)
Annoyingly enough i edited it to change a typo(comprimise->compromise) so i can't actually prove i said it first :(

9800

Macbook has too much heat issues
Apple pro must be an hibrid sli configuration like for example:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-Studio-XPS-13-Notebook.14081.0.html
(NVIDIA 9400M G onboard + 9200gs dedicated gf card = 9500 hibrid sli card)

Following the next nvidia specs:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/hybridsli_notebook.html

We got that a combination of 9400 + 9600gt hasnt "GeForce Boost Technology" avaliable, then u canT make a combination of both to get better perfomance.
Only got avi the "HybridPower Technology".

Probably when u choose an energy profile to save power only works the 9400 & when u choose a perfomance one works the 9600gt

For only gaming: 9800M GTS :)
