-g5 didn't work correctly right from the start
-sound was fucked up (?)
-had to install pb seperatly before it worked
-couldn't bind my weapons to the 1,2 or 3 keys
-TS + ET didn't work and i never did for me...
(that was on ubuntu btw, dunno which version number, around 2 years ago)
and then i got windows back xD

only noticed that my ping was lower, no difference in fps tho (however there weren't these fps drops back in those days, so can't compare with now, but have also 125 fps locked now, so care)
- don't know what do you mean by correctly but I spent loads of time by trying to bind +/- dpi buttons, eventually I did succeed but it isn't easy on linux
- yeah, sound is hard to get to work when you don't know much, though oss4 worked like a charm for me
- yeah normal thing, you've got to update it at start

- using oss4 is this not a problem. though oss4 might be a little fucked up in ubuntu, dunno
In general things are getting better ;) Though I stopped using linux after I got a better computer so I'm now using windows for a year now, but before - I was linux-only (for over a year) without even dual boot and it's definetely more pleasurable to play on it AFTER you get it to work, but it's just shitload of work and well... I can't recommend it to a regular players since you just have to like it :)
got the same problem after the last pb update, i think we just have to wait for another pb update who may fix the lags
lets hope there will be an succesful update soon
