Why are we still using PB?

1. It gives me so much fucking lag that I don't have on a server without PB
2. I've never seen anyone getting kicked by PB in a clanwar on a private server
3. If you just are carefull against who you're playing and you check out who your enemies are, then you know if they could be possible cheaters or not.
4. You can always install anti-pro (or isn't that possible yet?)
anyway, we need to get rid off that shit as soon as possible cause it gives alot of players lag that they shouldn't have. Players should be deleting it from their servers and should install anti-pro instead (or anti-pro should make that possible asap if that ain't possible yet, I dunno).

He even wanted me to see him play at his own PC before we went to CC6 (because half of the team was thinking he was going to dodge the lan), and I did since he offered to pick me up at home and to bring me back when he was done playing.

You're suggesting that PB stops players from cheating, which is bullshit obviously.
The people that actually fear to get busted, are the people that probably won't cheat without PB, the people that have heart for the game etc.
Disabling PB & banning the entire PL subnet will stop more cheaters & give more gamepleasure then having PB enabled.
You know what is obvious about PB? The number of banns they still get on the MBI every day.

Ye remove PunkBuster and tell me how you are going to catch people cheating, it might be shit and not detect private cheats but atleast it detects all the good old cheats and the latest pub cheats, and gives some cheaters the reason to be afraid. Remove PunkBuster and you will have the "humanized aimbot war" who tunes it the best.
Icebot, cracked etbots, bimbots, nexus,wallhacks, damage removal knockback hacks, spoofers, rivatuners will be back again.
There are so many kids which need to test out and use cheats as soon as they are undetected, imagine what cheating spree and paranoia there be in ET, obviously this is for the low to med/+ scene. Cheating in med+/high scene will depend on how mature the gamers are and their reputation.

If you wanted to use cheats you’d use them now, there’s literally nothing stopping you. So if you’re not using them now – why would you in the future?

Some people are stuck between a dilemma, to cheat or not to cheat? 50% of his conscious is telling him he shouldn't while the other half tells him he should cheat. Why won't he cheat now? PunkBuster detects most of the cheats, most of them are detected, he knows that if he finds an undetect public cheat, he can use it but he knows in the long run it will get detected (becuase it's free and it's public) and he will get caught, removing PB will encourage all these guys to cheat now, and i'm sure there are many people with that dilemma.
This is for public cheats only though, if you are certain you want to cheat you will, first with a public hack or if you don't want to get caught that easily or you don't want to your heartbeat to stop everytime you lag out or get kicked by pb thinking "will it be a multihack violation kick or just a game integrity failure kick?" then he will end up buying private cheats.
Without PB everyone becomes unhittable for me.
So yeah, let's get rid off pb

So i don't see why you would mention that cup in a journal which is aiming to get a wider player base to play without PB.
Of course it's a first step but thats just cause alle the teams and players playing there are probably clean and known for sime time know. So it does not have anything to do with CB ladders or something.

i don't care about the lags every now and then (look at risee's post same reason for me) but i just wanted to point out: that cup is not a good example for a broader player base.
on the other hand then i can use some no-knockback script, would be fucking awesome!!
nah seriously, i rather have a short lag every 3 minutes than having no protection at all. even though pb doesn't catch most private cheaters, in combination with gv/pbbans it caught people like grzesiek / sexclick / tetsuo and lots of others.
