Hz mouse what does it means ?

I would like to know what the hz means , what does it change and what's the diffrence between 500 - 1000 , BTW Got Deathadder Put Your settings :)

at 500hz -> position calculated 500 times / sec
at 1000hz -> position calculated 1000 times /sec
maybe it takes more than one clock beat to calculate the position, anyway u got the idea ;P

1000 hz is 1 milisecond of response time to the movements. 500 hz is 2 miliseconds. Afaik if your screen is 2 ms on response time, it's not even worth getting a 1000 hz mouse.

Your CPU does all the calculating for the positions btw. Hence your mouse might lag on your screen when your CPU freaks out at 100% load. Anyway useless info ftw.

Afaik if your screen is 2 ms on response time, it's not even worth getting a 1000 hz mouse.

I got 2 ms screen , 65 Hrtz
and DA - So what to put ? 1000 hz or 500 ?
