You are trapt in the UFC Hype machine my friend:

1) How can you possibly call Fedor the Pound for Pound best fighter in MMA when he hasn't done anything in years???

So what does this mean?

It means that "in the passed two years" GSP has fought guys smaller and weighing either the same or less than he. GSP is the bigger stronger guy.

Fedor on the other hand, is almost either outweighed or the shorter of the fighters, in the passed two years of course. None of those fights went to Decision. He finished them....ALL of them, in the passed two years.

Therefore

When you also consider that not one of those fighters on Fedor's list are in the top 10 heavyweights, whereas Penn is one of the best p4p fighters n the world, fitch is a perennial contender, and then there are two more champions in hughes and serra. So GSP has actually fought (in the last two years) 3 champions, and one of if not the best lw of all time (penn) who even went the distance with machida in lhw.

Plus you missed Alves off of GSP's list who is a bigger fighter.

e: and sylvia is a terrible fighter, arlovski has a glass jaw, coleman was past his best (39 when they fought?), and mark hunts most notable victory is a decision win over cro cop.

ee: oh and fitch is widely considered as one of the top pound 4 pound fighters in the world and he was brutalised by gsp.

ufc is not the elite in mma!
ufc wants to make as much money as possible, its not like a normal sports organisation, they are not interested in finding the best fighter in the world.

as for mw mousassi is the only person who could rumble with silva, but hes just stepped up to lhw as well.

lhw it is machida/mousasi/silva again.

hw fedor would destroy brock.

the hw division is light, everything else is stacked.

Brett rogers is Top 10 now, Fedor has fought the most top 10 competition than anybody else, you gotta remember who was top ranked back then aswell.

MW is the weakest division in MMA, you discredit Fedors victories when in fact he isnt cutting weight to fight smaller opponents, Fedor walks around at 230 and fights at that weight, GSP goes from about 190 to 170, Anderson Silva cuts from 220 to fight at 185 and weakest division in the UFC. Fedor is also undefeated, if you do count that BS loss due to an illegal elbow that caused a cut, he hasnt been beated in years, holds numerous titles (RINGS Titles, PRIDE HW Champ, PRIDE 2004 HW GP Champ, WAMMA HW Champ) Anderson silva has 4 losses on his record and never avenged any of them. GSP has 2 losses, he avenged both. GSP 18-2 / Anderson Silva 24-4 < Fedor 30-1*-1

GSP himself has said numerous times that Fedor is in fact #1 pound4pound

and with a little more research ,

"Vasquez became the third fighter to die in an MMA bout. Vasquez joins Douglas Dedge who died in an unsanctioned Ukraine event. Dedge was unable to be medically cleared in the US due to a pre-existing heart condition. "Korea witnessed its first MMA related death at a Gimme 5 event (now known as Neofight) in 2005. The cause of death was due to brain hemorrhaging after the fight, but many blamed the death on the promotion's inadequate medical standards."

This is not the case, there is more serious long term injuries in sports such as Boxing, Soccer, Football (North American) Hockey, etc. Than MMA.
