maybe set in BIOS to boot that disk first or something like that?
You did something wrong or win 7 & xp are not supported together.
i have xp and 7 and they work fine

Insert ur windows 7 disc and boot off the disc, then select repair and ull be able to boot 7 again. Might be that ull get the dualboot screen, but thats tricky to get working :(

Unless u install XP first...
yea that got win7 working probably wont be able to get XP going now

I've got it working, but iv had other problems, I couldn't get into XP at all when after installing. I then repaired XP with the boot disc, then repaired 7 in the same way and after that it all of a sudden came up with the dualboot menu, so thats how i did it.

but as u seem to be able to access XP, maybe this will help you:

google for bootloader
mash F8 or F10 @ startup to bring up the boot selection screen i think
u have to write the xp install into the bootmgr file at the win7 disk

google for the exact command
I had to use a program on vista to make dualboot work. It's because vista doesn't use boot.ini anymore, I think the same thing goes for W7.
Go to windows repair console, either win7's or XP's will work. Type fixboot, confirm yes's, type fixmbr, confirm yes's, should fix it.
go away
