host 1 day cups with the new maps

lol i was thinking of that the other day but nugis told me that nobody would play it. and he's right...

one problem: most of the people don't have the maps, and are way too lazy to dl these ones. but in case that i have too much freetime i could test some maps on some pubservers and would do a list and you could check these ones and make them to competition maps or smth.

a bigger problem is the server with new maps

NQ / Jaymod server are full of such maps and perhaps we're able to find out which map could be a competition map

ye, but @ NQ/Jaymod, they play pub maps, which so big, u can't play a normal war on the maps.and one ppl testing maps and making a list of comptetive maps is just lame.

i mean, playing it on pubs you can get a strong look into the map, if it's good playable, not that high etc. and when i do such a list, i'd say some "show"matches and the final statement after those matches if it was easy to play or too strong, if it's good for a competition etc. ...

how about dubrovnik? iirc it was a comp map at one point? I played it a couple times on a jaymod pub before and thought it was a rather well-designed map.

If I remember correctly then makarrech_street had some wierd wall bug:
Meaning: you can get into the wall near axis spawn and shoot them through the wall. :D

yeah right cause those people that wanted to play it competitively didn't pre-Order or bought the game already (or maybe played the leaked MP Beta found out retail version was the same and gave it up without spending something) + Wolf 5on5 ET 6on6 which makes a difference in 930 people less...

RTCW had as much signups back in 2002 when internet wasn't that wide spread, and thats only on clanbase, not mentioning rtcw.no

ET has 200+ signups after almost 7 years of it's release, RTCW had high amount of signups till 2004~, thats considering ET "killed" it.

Wolf will have 0 sign ups in 1 year. Good game.

Do you honestly think that people would play wolfenstein even if it would be released for free?

105 clans will drop out of ET OC. So what 60 teams signed up from Wolfenstein just because people enjoy the game and like it no need to hate. If you don't like the game thats your problem.

Well not really unexpected with the wolf signups... never expected it to reach the activity of ET (also cause ET is a free game), still it is a shame the game fails even more than ETQW... and is tbh, MP-wise, even worse than ETQW...

quit wolf with hx and come back to ET with same lineup. thats good plan!

cause there is nothing else to play atm beside some QuakeLive (j4f)... maybe i'll go back to CoD4 soon to prepare a bit for CoD:MW2...

but beside that, there is no game in my focus atm which i would like to play... so... no alternative... :/

well i play 80% QL most of my "gaming-time" atm, cause i have fun playing it... but it is not a competitive game for me... just some pubbing... and competitive playing = fun (at least for me)...

And like i already said i don't see a real alternative from my pov for a competitive teamgame atm... so i stick with wolf for the moment... even if it's crap...

That map developer (can't remember which one) is developing all the et maps for Wolf..it will be a hit when they are released. playing supply on wolf etc...cool...

just rebuild the same q3 engine with better graphics and all those graphicwhores will play et.. they wont play it because it is "ugly"
