Gaming - and you?

So, lets face it ET isn't what it used to be. Of course people can argue it has been like this for a long time, but this isn't what i wanted to discuss (although can i just point out, 200 signups is still quite good). What i was wondering is: Are there any games that you plan to move on to, competivly? Any game your waiting for? Wolf hasn't turned out to be any good (as a lot expected) so far - at least in my opinion. CS:S isn't up my street and I just have no motivation to try and get any better at ET. Maybe cod6 will be the way forward, but I'm not convinced yet!


For those of you that still play ET, like myself: Do you play ET seriously? Have you ever?

Need some headphones, around £50 max i guess, was looking at the sony mdr v6 - main uses will be music and PC. recommendations? ty!

I think ET is good for competition scene apart from the cheaters ofc, its consistent gameplay wise, if you look at css its too inconsistent, thats for me anyways, cod is there really a point when every 6 months theres a new one out and apart from that theres nothing really popular thats decent for me.

+1 about the head phones, i bought some £10 GEMBIRD cheapo things from ebay very good sound quality ect, i just buy cheap ones cause i break expensive ones in 1 week max either i pull wires out or trip over them :D

ET is nice unless your bullets go threw your opponents without hitting them. Cheaters I dont care about, only gives you a challenge to get better.

Next to ET I play CoD4 abit...

never played serious only in the pub times when i thought stats = all (h) oh and xp
but since i started playing competitive i lacked the motivation to put on my cool face except when playing with leon cause i needed to play serious(HA) or i got raged at.. didnt perform as good as i did before but for next oc with increased(i can hardly wait) im gonna exec my config with lots of cool binds in cool colors (h)(h) and random buttons on my keyboard to make my sens change coz maybe et will get a little bit harder

ofc. cod4 was awesome before promod3 became promod4. totally killed the fun for former ET players. but cod6/mw2 will be different (one of the reasons cod4 was slowed down).

the same engine as etqw/wolf, the same feeling - id tech 4 is just an epic fail and nothing and noone can change it

although I really wouldn't like to see Brink failing because of id tech 4... seems to be a good game

from what i've seen it is a nice game, it is faster, there are different classes and you can revive, ofc it will NOT be like ET but it doesn't has to. there will be a "pro"mod from beginning and everything is well organized imo, so i will give it a try ;)
