With a modern PC, Windows 7 IS faster than XP. Drivers have matured, since they are nearly identical to the ones used in Vista. Driver architecture hasn't changed.
For old laptop? Best to stick with XP SP3.
WinXP: 110fps
Win7: 80fps
And that's after I turned off some services in Windows 7 which had a little impact on the result. Windows 7 is Vista with some tweaks + like 10x better marketing.
And please realize that Windows 7 = Windows Vista + some nice tweaks + 10x amount spent on marketing. Nothing new here...
anyway just install XP too , and reboot to it =) getting used to it now.. 10 sec waiting anyway
hope I helped , hf
but yea with ET it's not 100% good yet , but when you CAN play it's pretty good.
I don't have problems with other games tho , Cod5 , crysis , UT3 , etc..
set the pb.exe´s to compatible mode (vista sp2) and it should work fine
and ye its fucking awesome !
The only problem i had was the pb issue. But if you just search on crossfire for like 2 minutes you find the solution for that problem too.
:(
installed ram: 4,00GB , usale: 3gb oO
i got original win7 prof x64
