500hz mouse pool rate vista

Hi,

I don't seem to be able to switch mouserate on my vista (x64) desktop. I boot in safe mode, as administrator, hit those
Quote2. Run the following command from the Run box: bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

3. Run the following command from the Run box: takeown /f "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\usbport.sys"

4. Run the following command from the Run box: cacls "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\usbport.sys" /G username:F
(replace username with your username)

5. Open C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and locate the existing usbport.sys

6. Rename usbport.sys to usbport.old

I'm blocked at step 6, where I get this error message which translates into:

"you require an authorisation to perform this action"

i think you have too require an authorisation man.
had a tool that changed my mouserate to 500hz without even booting in safemode but i lost it :[
yea, I had it too, but isn't it xp only?
Parent
yeah that's the 1 =D

It says "under Windows Vista 64 bit
driver will load only with disabled driver signature enforcement."
How do I do this? bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS ?
Parent
uhm dunno, i think it worked by default at my laptop.
though i have test mode enabled (bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON)

I managed to override all this security stuff, but even after that, when I put 500 hz, my mouse freezes. It's an mx518 and it was already at 500hz on my previous pc.
Parent
uhm dunno, using xp on main PC

gabt 's patcher and its done easily.
link please?
Parent
Doesn't work tho, i followed every step carefully but all my usb devices just freeze. I guess vista 64 is fucked.

@ Gabt's profile : My Vista Mouse Rate Patch for 32-bit (any edition) Added 64-bit support.

I guess you still are doing something wrong. Tried both x64 and x86 folders?
Parent
yup, tried both. complete usb freeze everytime. I don't get any error message when executing the files, everything seems to work fine, until I boot out of safe mode.
Parent
well ask Gabt himself then :P
