I remember around the same years, my hometown club Roda JC got knocked out of the Eurocup II in the 1/8 final. They lost after penalties against CSKA Sofia. Nobody knew Sofia, but later players like Ivanov, Penev, Kostadinov and most of all Stoitsjkov got famous and played all over Europe. It was a shame cause in 1/4 finals they would've played against Barcelona :(
what a bunch of gloryhunters, almost everyone on here supports barca,real madrid, manu or inter and then people complain the CL and leagues are becoming too predictable, now how would that come?
There's a difference between liking those teams because they play great football and being a fan of that team. I like barca and manu too because they play nice football but I'm not a fan of either of those teams.
I'm not living "everywhere", I'm living in the US, so here we call it "football", and no, we don't add the "American" in front of it because it's redundant. ^^
It's redundant to us because we have "soccer" and "football" and that's it. It's easily distinguishable, there's only one type of football here, so we don't need to put anything in front of it. :P
