WTF is up with this world?
Only cuz he is Niggah and President and stuff, he won the nobel prize... he promissed us (or at least the americans) a lot of stuff and nothing is happening (oh yeah, they closed guantanamo, great success, NOT!)

Well I do know that he can't make decision without getting the majority of the votes, but there's a reason they call him the most powerful man on earth. And the biggest part of his plan will be realised, whether the companies want that or not.

There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US. Yet if there were "White colleges" ..

I cannot see the connection between WWII and e.g. the war in Irak. It´s absolutely true that history affects all of us in many different ways think about religion(OBVIOUSLY;p) and that is the cause of of wars in the present but mostly in the past. hopefully in a long time way beyond our lifespan things are finally cleared up, mainly about religion and such... albeit it's hard to imagine a world without war...
We have just to overcome the frustration and anger which span over generations, mostly because of misunderstandings, wrong treatment and miserable education/living conditions. You are very easy to manipulate if you don't know shit and have a empty stomach.
and what about the TV channels stuff? wonder what if we had our "white ppl channel" (its kinda stupid, but its as stupid as the blacks having their own channel). and theres many other things

In both cases it's racist. Don't know why you think "white-boy" isn't racist while "nigger" is.
The level of crime has nothing to do with being black or white. It is about education, wealth, neighbourhood you grew up in, etc... Let white people grow up in poor conditions, bad neighbourhoods and you get thugs too. Think about the favellas in brazilian cities. I don't think that even 1 black person lives there. It's all about the situation you grow up in.
Because black people didn't had the same rights as white people, that's why. Any group of people that feels discriminated want to get the same level of rights as the others whereas it is woman, black people, disabled people, etc... they all want to draw attention for their problems and their lack of recognition for the situation there in and want the same rights as the other people. Nothing wrong with that no?
And why would we need that exactly? Black people were in the minority and didn't feel accepted in foreign countries. There is a totally different attitude/culture in another country so in order to feel more comfortable they search for other like-minded people eg. black people. What's wrong with that? If your dropped in a room full of random chinese, black people, etc... I bet you will turn to white people first too. Nothing racist about it. It's human. You search people that are similar to you.
If you would go to Turkey and live and work there you would search some western people to to talk with (same culture and norms etc...)

I don't think you read my comment. It's about education and how/where you grew up in. Nobody is born a criminal. White areas are mostly wealthy so obviously there is less crime. The favellas in Rio de Janeiro are full of white people too (if you consider "latin" white), no black people but it's full of criminality too because the living standards are so low.
If a black person is thrown in a neighbourhood full of white people that are low skilled and poor (thugs) he is fucked too. Same for a white person in a black neighbourhood that is poor. The difference mostly is that a black person is thrown in a region of mostly quite wealthy white people so it obviously gives less difficulties'. When a white person is thrown in a region full of black people 99% of them are poor, bad educated and so less civilized. Again, it's about wealth and education.
The difference is that Edison was a scientist/inventor and just like most of them they never had a day named to them, black or white, neither received them.
For human rights it's different. Black people were fighting for rights, just like woman had to, for centuries and centuries. Fights (for rights or in the past, wars) between races was, is and has always been a very important issue in our history, it's a red wire throughout our history, even more so today. So obviousl when a major breakthrough was done it was a very important date in our history. Not only for black people but for woman too. The day woman could vote is an important day too.

Additionally his person itself is a idol for the black community and a symbol for a multicultural society - being the first black president and all. He's maybe a little step toward a bit more understatement and world w/o barriers of colours. Sounds much more pompous as I mean it, but I believe that this got into the decision as well.
I think he's doing a good job. Maybe this nobel prize will give him some more backup for his ideas and his work, which might be a good thing. Nevertheless my opinion is still that they should have waited some years...
1 year ago (or a bit more) you didnt even know him. And he did noting for peace and stuff before he got president/wanted to get presisdent... and usualy you get that prize for something you put your life in ("Lebenswerk")

It's not neccessary that you get this prize as a result of live-long engagement, hence most of the time it's awarded as such.
