how u get updated with ur favorite band?

how do u get updated with ur favorite band's albums? like for example when an new band releases new album, are there any ways to find it? sites or so? i have a lot of bands im intrested but don't know when they release their albums

once a year i write down the bandname at google-> go to wikipedia -> albums -> new album -> download; no new album-> nothin

LOLMUSICJOURNALISM but if youre iinto that kind of thing pitchfork, etc

typically the news finds you, for more obscure bands I'll occasionally just check torrent sites

I get alot of flyers and preorders from different Distros I've ordered music from. I already know what to expect in 2010.

Some bands are quite active on facebook/twitter, though you may get some "useless" spam via those channels.
