ubuntu, hopefully last (sound) problem

i fixed the fps lag problem thanks to plekter and spion but now Iam encountering heavy problems with the sound output over the /.et-sdl-sound hack.

Its delayed and scratchy, I know another option would be installing oss4 but since i got no clue where to get and how to correctly install it I better ask you for help once more

Well it's a bit outdated. There's no tutorial how to change usb hz etc. :P

AFAIK he's having problems with his sound lagging and fps. That comment has everything you need to run ET under Ubuntu flawlessly.

OSS4 is the way to go, but built it from source, .debs seemed to not work for me, maybe ull get it, i dunno, i built from source, i ended up gettin ET with sound 1st time, could use mutiple sounds at same time, i.e. youtube, et, rythmbox, and even vent worked OKish with the neccesary win dll files. OSS is defo the way to go.

there are plenty of forums + manuals to guide u through
try it out urself first before asking because thats what linux is about

if u dont want to spent ur time with setting linux up, install windows
