New lcd

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a new lcd monitor and I found two serious options on the internet:

http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/230784/lg-w2442pa-bf.html#tab:info

and

http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/245116/samsung-syncmaster-p2450h.html#tab:info

Which one is better or are there better ones for the same price (max. €250,-) ?

Thanks in advance : )

Have ignored the tech specs, but I've got a Samsung Syncmaster and I've never had an issue with it :)

Is nice to look at, decent response time and it displays blacks etc nicely.

Would recommend it personally!
syncmaster is always good
If you expand your budget a bit, you can buy an samsung Syncmaster 2233rz wich is one of the best screens atm. But nevertheless Samsung is the way to go.
Ye looking at it atm, but I prefer 24 inch atm, someone told me that 24s got the resolution to watch high definition movies. But thanks for the advice :p

Well i would prefer the hz over the resolution, and since the 2233rz got 120 hz it almost feels like my old crt back in the days. Well good luck searching then.
Parent
Where can I see the hz? On my 19"CRT (10 years old :p) I got 85hz max and it doesn't bother me or smth :o
Parent
Well you'll notice the difference between your old monitor with 85 hz and most probably your new lcd screen wich normally got only 75 hz. More hz -> more fps shown on your screen -> means everything you see on your screen is way smoother.
Parent
ok, but is it worth the money? Keep in mind that the 24" is way bigger etc :p
Parent
It's 2 inch difference :b, anyway it's definitely worth the money. And trust me the screen is big enough to watch movies on!
Parent
hey, where can i contact you? I'd like extra info about this monitor.
Parent
the ViewSonic VX2268WM is a bit better, get this one instead!
Parent
#crossfire would do.
Parent
you can get full HD on quite a lot of 22" and 23" monitors now
Parent
how do i know if my screen has HD? and how huge are the differences in movies?
Parent
should support 1920*1080 res

and if you watch HD movies on HD res it's very noticable
Parent
so only 1920x1080 is HD? 16080x1050 is not? Oo
Parent
1920*1080 is Full HD res, there are a few other resolutions offered as HD but 1680*1050 is not considered as HD
Parent
hmm oke... Whats the hz thingy all about? Is it important? Cause it costs a LOT more :E
Parent
well it would be good if you could get the 120Hz one(or 100Hz) cos it's more fluid ofc but I don't think you'd suffer much more with 60Hz
Parent
is 24" a huge difference compared to 22" on movies?
depens what you want to do with it. if to play, buy one of those 120hz monitors. if u don't, then got actually no clue. I think there isn't too huge differences on them - it just connects that they're all bad @ games.

E: btw how's nlhe?
hi :p Not playing atm, gonna start again in a few months. Collecting some money and going to the casino in a few weeks aswell :)
