i dont know if my old jorunal still exists (crossfire crash) where i searched for a new headset cause my sennheiser pc160 is going to die soon (and this time it is rly rly soon).
Last time u guys recommended me a sennheiser hd555.. but its 90€ + no mic = around 100-110€. But now i heard that there will bea new icemat siberia v2 which has a mic + some improved stuff:

u guys think this headset will be better than my pc160 and maybe comperable with the hd555 ? Also anyone knows if this external soundcard is anygood? Or atleast better than the one in my laptop (asus g50vt-a1) ?
Thanks :)

i rly belive that the hd555 is much better cause everyone says so.. but then i would need an external mic (which one) + alot of money :P
also this icemat has an external soundcard.. maybe that one is even better than the build in one in my notebook (altough i dont think so).
with this v2 version i thought it might became better than the old one and also comes to the point where u can call it a decent headset.. and propably compare if with smth like the hd555 :P
Oh, and the external Soundcard is MOST LIKELY just some really cheap usb soundcard with a steelseries design. You can get those USB cards for 1€ on ebay and I doubt it's better than your laptop onboard sound. Same goes to the whole headset, as I really doubt they improved the soundquality to standards anywhere close to Sennheiser.
and what do u thnik of the hd555 ? is it rly that good? any other headset you would recommend?
if not i will order the hd555 tomorrow and try to play with it + with the mic of my pc160 (maybe i can fix it somehow on the hd555.. i dont rly wanna waer 2 headsets). if that doesnt work i will buy the speedlink pure voice.
And before I try to glue a 2€ mic on my 70€ headphones, I would think about spending another 10-15€ on that table mic :-P
and which qpad headset do u mean?
@edit: nvm just orderd the hd555 + pure voice mic.. 111€ as amazon wants 17€ for package + shipping of a 5€ mic -.-
290€ :)
You can clip it on the headset cord. A friend of mine uses it, works fairly good. (I use my old pc131 around the nec as mic but if I were to change i would probably take this)
besides yes you improve with a better headset.. i had a 15€ headset and bought a pc160 after it.. and i could clearly hear my enemy better with the pc160
table mics are far better far cheaper and break much less often than the headset mics :<
cheapest one :D
Could someone recommend me a good headset, max. price 80e? No need for microphone on it, but good sound quality would be n1ce.
so dont tell me now a 68€ headset is going to be better ! :P
