just get any pcsx2 version after 0.9.6 with speedhack options (search its website forum), all you need is a low end pc and a ps2 bios which can be easily found on any torrent site (got mine from piratebay)
check if your pcsx2 has speedhack options, if it doesnt, you will have really low fps. I suggest getting a different pcsx2 version (I play with Pcsx2-beta-1474)
Can you really compare the mega epic superboss fights against the Weapons from FF7 with the epic boss fights from 8 or 9? When i finished off Emerald Weapon for the first time ever after dying like 10000 times, I came (must have been like 11 or 12 years old). Those are the things that made ff7 better than 8 or 9, not only because it has a better storyline, music and characters.
Im playing FFX atm on pcsx2 emulator so i cant really judge it. So far its really really good but it doesnt have that amazing feeling that the ps1 final fantasies have (it somewhat feels "slower"). Storyline, characters, gameplay and dialogues so far got me really intrigued though, i cant wait to finish it.
i dont even want to speak about 9, it just sucked i didnt want to finish that "game" but ff7 and ff8 are quite different and ff8 was somewhat better i guess and ffx is just awesome
and yes, ffx is more slow i know what u mean but still its the best final fantasy, there r more secrets etc. :) thats y i like that game so much and tbh, ff8 without the card game would be worse than ff7
Tried 10-2 once, but it didn't get me hooked like all the others. I also still have 12 lying around somewhere, but I never got started with it. Console games don't appeal to me anymore :<
Only played 10 but watched some ff7. Funny thing is I only bought it so a friend could play it and ended up playing it thousands of hours filling up the spheroboard almost twice with shit from the monster academy :S
never heard about final fantasy? u should try it but dont ever try ff 9 :D
its a rpg game for playstation and for the computer, great stories, awesome gameplay and so on but i guess that everyone likes the ff games because of the secrets, if u just finish it then it will suck but there are alot of secrets in a final fantasy game

FFX plays 100% perfectly with these settings on my system with 800x800 resolution and direct3d10 hardware renderer.

Also make sure the bios you downloaded has the same region of the game (that one uploaded on snesorama uses PAL)

After IX it has just gone.. bad. The only highlight of Final Fantasy for me after IX was XIIs soundtrack.
