Does anyone have an account on that http://forum.doom9.org/?
I need to ask a question however they require accounts to be 5 days old to post.
It's kinda urgent, would appreciate it!
edit> alternatively: why do the colors change after encoding with x264:
before: http://i34.tinypic.com/25z0z6r.jpg
after: http://i37.tinypic.com/29fz52c.jpg
it's undependant of the bitrate, cant find any setting influencing it

any idea what exactly could be causing it?
Im not very common with these things but there could also be a problem with the original file rendered from vegas.
Maybe try re-rendering it. Or see if you have the same stuff with other files you created in vegas.
All i've found when searching is that rendering settings can cause this, which isnt the case here
that gamma change occurs because of your decoder, haven't found a fix to it yet anywhere, besides using a uncompressed / haali renderer (needs a more powerful pc)
yeah it's common i guess, a lot of people don't know about it and then whine about movies having shit colors, while their decoder is fucking it up.
I've sent the file to about 10 people now and only 3 of them could play it like it is supposed to so I'm kinda undecided now how to release it since if i make the source more saturated those that have proper settings will have to suffer :D
edit: sry didn't mean to reply to you :D dunno why it happened
