HTC Hero - the gadget and mobile of the year!


The jury of the E3 Gadget Awards 2009 highlighted the smartphone HTC Hero twice in two categories: Phone of The Year and Gadget of The Year. In the official statement was given that it has been highlighted due to the successful combination of usage comfort, effective technology and it's intriguing design.

HTC Hero is a mobile which works under the control of the mobile operating system Google Android and a special overlay by HTC. It includes GPS, a digital compass, a accelerometer and a camera with 5 Mpx among many other things. You have to pay about 400 Euro for it.

The T3 contest is a distinction and award to the best electronic gadgets. The awards are being awarded on the basis of the British magazine „The Sun” readers votes.

I really don't understand what's the fuzz about this phone. I didn't enjoy the sense UI and the original Android on screen keyboard is much cleaner and simpler. Also there are many bugs with it (maybe they fixed it meanwhile)... for example you can't set the google account after the initial setup if you skipped that step.
