msn wtf

wtf!!!

My msn password suddenly has changed :s I don't know how or what.. So I tried to get it back by answering my secret question and I'm 100% sure what the answer on that question is and that also doesn't work anymore :s ??!!

edit: the same happened to my Steam account

what's happening =( ??

A week ago(i could be wrong) or something, the MSN users database got hacked. Dunno if this is anything to do with your password/questions being wrong.

was it a phishing site so some idiots logged in on a fake gmail.com site or did they real got the password from gmail.com ?

u know smth about live.at accs ?

I just read that microsoft didn't get hacked but some guys gave in there password no phising sites or smth.. but that's not happened to me cause my answer on the secret question also got changed :s

if someone has your password he can change the secret question to, and also request new passwords on sites you re registerd. just like steam which is probably used by your email to

send an email to hotmail with atleast the followng information

and provide them with as much account details as possible (before it got hacked)
because of the fishing attacks theres a huge chance that you will get your meail back by this way

yeah but it's impossible cause the answer on the question has really nothing to do with the question.. it's really impossible for someone to know the word (cause it ain't an answer on the question).. wtf :s

your msn adress begins with a or b?
'cause the most recent msn phishing-attack list only had addresses that started with a or b afaik

nope that was just the list which was known at the news sites, the original list is a lot bigger and had emails starting with any letter. pretty much every email still works because most people dont even know their email is on that list

the list i have (which was not publicly released) has around 33 000 emails, and most of the emails are from swedish users so you might be on the full list :D

Yes, I'm quite possitive. Extracting a file from an archive does not execute the file. It merely uncompresses the file and stores it on your harddrive.

The only case when something gets executed after extracting it is if the archive is a self-running one. Meaning the archive in question is in fact an exe which simply extracts the contents and runs one or more of the files in the archive. But if it is just a .rar or .zip, then no way.
