Today is the last day the Pure (for some also known as #fayntic) server will remain online.
After 3,5 years it has come to an end, Pur3 has supported GamesTV.org with ETTV, matchservers and ETTV on Demand.
We also sponsored several clans with private servers, ventrilo, bouncers, webhosting and other random stuff.
Some statistics:
>>> Live broadcasts <<<
#fayntic ETTV 1 : broadcasted 1314 matches
#fayntic ETTV 2 : broadcasted 335 matches
#fayntic ETTV 3 : broadcasted 157 matches
#fayntic ETTV 4 : broadcasted 88 matches
#fayntic ETTV 5 : broadcasted 25 matches
#fayntic ETTV 6 : broadcasted 11 matches
#fayntic ETTV 7 : broadcasted 5 matches
Total: 1935 matches
>>> Replays (on demand) <<<
Served 44,428 replays.
Our demo archive consists of 2150 matches, a total of 125GB. This would have been more if we didn't run out of diskspace back in 2006.
>>> Matchservers <<<
Most of you probably know GamesTV Matchserver #3 and #4.
These servers, and several other matchservers which have been setup just because people needed a server to play their official matches on,
have hosted more than 1000 matches. We didn't count the hosting for example the ESL Riflecups and other 1day-cups with this.
The reason we're ending our server is because it's quite expensive, we can't afford it anymore to pay it all by ourselves. We still have the motivation to host, manage and support this, but we do not have the motivation to pay 89 a month for something that doesn't give us anything in return.
We felt like this needed an explanation before everything goes down :)
h3ll & ZaK-
thanks for ur servers!! they were nise :PPP
89 is much :f
news next time ;(
I'll donate 5 euros a month to one of these guys' bank accounts, who's with me? We only need 20 people, if there are more people willing to part with a small amount of money they could probably even extend the services.
Poor basterds :(
