Mouse problems *_*

After finally sorting my sound out with Ubuntu 9.10 (stupid thing failed to play any sound so had to download/configure OSS4 all over again) I decided to play some ET.

Problem I have is there seems to be a slight delay when shooting, sometimes so slow I die before even getting a single bullet out ._____. Does anyone know what's causing this? Haven't really noticed it in previous distros and certainly works fine @ windoze so it's probably some linux settingz.

et is working very smooth here, same distro and same mouse. but yesterday trying to setup my mic i fucked up my sound and now i dotn have any sound:_D
