Where would you go if you could study abroad for 6 months? To which city and why? Where would you definitely NOT go?
My first thought was Australia but my school doesn't have any contracts there, but New Zealand looks interesting as well :)

COMPTON RULEZZZZZ
DRE SAID FUCK DA POLICE.
Google up some images of Vancouver and it's surroundings. It's amazing out there.
As for Canada and your questions wether it's the "wannabe US". Nah, you can't compare Canada to the US. They have some similarities in life-style but when it comes to the people itself there is quite some differences. I've lived in Canada for half a year and it was great.
WTF??!?!?!
Also take in consideration how many spots are available for a certain location if they only have 1 or 2 and you are not an A grade student I wouldn't expect too much if you do decide to apply. Hopefully I can start ranking for my study abroad somewhere in February but I only just started looking at locations last week.
Canada: London, Kelowna, Calgary, Vancouver, Kingston, Waterloo -> I really don't know what to think of Canada.. wannabe USA ? - canada is great but too far away imo
Japan: Osaka -> weirdo's - lold:D try that out, would like to read your experience youve made there
Mexico: Monterrey, Ensenada, Mexicali,Tijuana - dunno
New Zealand:Auckland - dunno
Singapore: Singapore - dunno
South Korea: Seoul - lold x)
Turkey: Eskisehir, Istanbul - no³ too many kurds imo :D
USA: Grand Rapids (MI), San Marcos (TX), Oakdale (NY) - would also be an awesome experience i guess
russia, leningrad! :D gogo
or germany, hamburg :)
need a suggestion on where to go in case that i 'have to' go to russia for 1 term... st. petersburg?
i'm having the same problem i wanna go abroad for 6 months aswell next year, but dunno where to go. What kind of study ur doing btw??
e: USA can be nice aswell but i only liked New York rest is kinda dull :D
NZ is great, went over there for a trip once and loved it, reminds me of my home!
Studying for bachelor of international logistics
Really enjoyed it out there and done 3 bungy jumps :D
Got an exhibition coming up in December too so hoping to sell a few =D
if you wanna go to usa, i suggest oakdale
- not czech rp: go for a holiday or smthg to there not to study
- not istanbul: have been there twice but the going-out-area is just awful: small, mostly empty + expensive + boring; nice for city trip but that's it
=> the benefit is though that you can visit lots of cities/countries closeby & very cheap
- would maybe pick mexico if its close to a beach otherwise definately no
- singapore is nice to visit, clean & modern city but not that much to go out + probably bored after 3 weeks, holiday only
=> either new zeland, usa or canada; out of the choices vancouver looks great and auckland too; find some place where you can travel to some nearby places (so not texas or the remote canadian locations except if you like nature + small city but not that much to do)
Check some pics of the uni & city & check what you can do in the region. If you like combination city/nature/going out pick Auckland or Vancouver
and pick up the one that ull have less chances to visit in the future
instead of those shitcountries :o
Touching SlayerS BoxeR
Hope I could go to LA. Love the american culture for some weirdass reason and think people are nice. Also LA or santa monica is a beautifull city to live in.
My sister is studying in the university of Washington (it's actually in seattle) and she's having a good time afaik.
visit iceland joof ,its the best :O
but then uhm canada / japan
rest aren't any interesting
Czech Republic: Prague -> Prague is cool but dunno about czech dont go ;) not kind people, dont understand a fuck from English..
Canada: London, Kelowna, Calgary, Vancouver, Kingston, Waterloo -> I really don't know what to think of Canada.. wannabe USA ?dont go to Canada, its exactly what you said.. wnb USA
Japan: Osaka -> weirdo's Japan, you wanna miss this chance?:O
Mexico: Monterrey, Ensenada, Mexicali,Tijuana Mexican flu?
What's the point otherwise of studying abroad? To learn new countries/cultures. If your dutch and you would study in Belgium you could also just stay in your own country.
And euhm Singapore is very rich m8, yes even the average person, same for Seoul and even the western part of Turkey is quite nice & not as poor as you think.
Already been to Japan, love the country but I don't know what it's like to study there.
2 of my friends are going to China and Argentina probably.
We have the Olympics in 2010 too :)
beetje uit vrije wil naar belgie gaan dacht het ook!
laat me nie in de steek he!
