Questions..

Hi crossfire I downloaded ET Ultimate Installer version 1.6.

And now I put in ETmain my old etkey.

Deleted the default etconfig.cfg from profile in etmain, and put in etmain my Amyconfig.cfg.

In ETPRO folder also Amyconfig.cfg and made there autoexec.cfg with written exec Amyconfig.cfg in it.

And now I deleted the text /exec omni-bot.cfg in server.cfg and omni-bot.cfg.

Which was in etmain, but I dont know anymore, what is safe what is not but I want to play ET again.

So what to do?

Also deleted etpro_cheats.dat cause I thought its suspicious file I dont know for sure, but goomis said it was a server admin thing ..

Any recommended servers I can play?.

EDIT: cant download pbweb cause security code does not work how to solve this and were do I put pbweb from evenbalance?

Else please just give the correct instructions on ET ultimate Installer and what to delete from ET and what not..

Btw A game challenge for you to keep you busy for little while Can you beat me I beat all levels in about 1.5 hours..tell me how far you got..

Cybergames server are probably the most populair for etpro players, but element is nice aswell :)

You shouldn't of had to delete anything with ultimate installer, it lets you pick what you want to install in the first place.. like mods and stuff. Just update your pb or you might get kicked for silly errors. and play on BiO cuthere.

So etpro_cheats.dat should not be deleted and omni-bot.cfg also not?
And I did pick only the mod etpro cause I didnt want omni-bot mod..
Btw there was no etkey in etmain so I can put in my old etkey I saved in my email right?
and I can put in etmain Amyconfig.cfg and in ETPRO folder Amyconfig too right?
And in ETPRO folder put in autoexec.cfg and write in there exec Amyconfig.cfg so it automaticly execs my config no?.

you can delete all the other modfolders except for pb etpro and etmain. you can put your config in etmain, it's not necesary to put it aswell in etpro because every mod will still be able to load files from etmain. so when you're playing etpro and your config is in etmain it will still respond to /exec configname.cfg ingame.In etpro you can make a autoexec.cfg that has exec Amyconfig.cfg. As far as i know it will work. If not i've never seen the harm in execing my config while connecting :p takes 2 seconds.

I wouldn't mess with any of the etpro files, etpro_cheats.dat is not a malicious file, it is the cheaters database of etpro's creator bani. this file only necesary for server hosters, not clients.

the etkey is generated whenever you join a server. So if there's no etkey it will make one upon first connection. I'm not sure whether copying an old etkey will work, i guess you will have to try it out.

thanks so I install ultimate installer v1.6 then put in my config and autoexec and my old etkey and let omni-bot.cfg server.cfg etpro_cheats.dat stay and play..
btw what I dont want is and you cant change that is that it will put in a config file to the etmain profile..etconfig.cfg can I delete this?.cause I want only my own config.

etconfig is generated by ET. So if you make adjustments ingame by for example adjusting resolution it will save it in the etconfig. This also means that if you exec your own config in ET it will overwrite all the settings you execed from own config into the etconfig so the etconfig will be identical to your own cfg. If not, just /exec your own config ingame.

no, that was for a period of 1 week about half a year ago. You will not be kicked unless you actually use a hack or use a program like rivatuner to make trees dissapear ;)

okay then I just go install ET ultimate installer by vapirious and dont delete etpro_cheats.dat server.cfg omni-bot.cfg and put my own etkey and config in..and play.
