Advice on monitor

Seems like my pro CRT is dying! Vision master pro 454 to be exact.

Now i'm looking for a new monitor. I'd like to switch to LCD, but ofc... its not that gamefriendly.

I've bumped into http://www.digitalversus.com/article-358-4495-36.html the syncmaster 2233rz with 120 hz (I laik).

Does any1 have any experience with this screen? Or maybe there is an alternative for it?

I'd go for another CRT, although they may be hard to get hold of they have better colours and and going to be cheaper.

What's wrong with your CRT?
just get another crt
my L227WT is purely for gaming
since it has zero input lag, and 4:3 mode, playing on it feel just like playing on crt :p
Didn't have zero when I tested it.

A blurry picture of your LCD.

Nice argument, consider me told.

oops, i wanted to put the pic in my first post to show how et looks like :(

if you would be kind enough to tell me how to test input lag, because so far i read in every review that it has zero input lag and they brought pics when it was connected to crt with a clock :~>

Ask Panda if you can borrow his high speed lens.
Parent

i have W2252TQ which is a lil bit better, and i do recommend it for gaming, its great, but it doesnt have HD, so it's not the best experience with movies :<

i highly doubt that 75hz and 125fps on and lcd will never feel anything close to 120hz/125fps on a crt . Got a 22"samsung 2232bw lcd it has no input lag and it feels nothing like my crt@120hz. CRT is always better for gaming even the new 120hz lcd's arent good enough yet to beat a CRT. even 75hz/76fps dont feel the same.
Parent
its a personal feeling
Parent
yeah true ,but if you play on a crt @ 120hz for a little while then you will easily notice the diffrence. But if you played on a crt @85hz then the diffrence wont feel to bad going to a lcd @75hz.
Parent
never had 120hz crt
only 85 :*
Parent
then you wont notice how big the diifference actually is with 120.

Ask Spirea, nerd probably bought both 120hz LCDs.

Why can't you use the same site Perfo use to buy his VMP 510? There were like >9000 used CRTs on there when I looked.
using the ViewSonic VX2268WM and its quite good for gaming (120hz)
isn't it only 120hz when using the 3d mode? (meaning 60hz on normal shit)
Parent
dual-link dvi I guess?
Parent
using one, but im not sure if its needed
Parent
I thought that single-link dvi has it's limitation and wouldn't be able to pass 120 images per second through at higher resolutions.
Parent
ye something like this, but i dont know the exact limitations

Samsung Syncmaster T220 <3
I bought the 2233RZ Leonmate!

I did a month ago or something, when my CRT died. I can clearly recommend it, it is awesome! I haven't been able to feel any difference in FPS-games, switching to this, from my CRT.
NEED A NOT-WIDESCREEN LCD GIEF LINKS THX
I got it (2233rz)

It's good, surely better than any other LCD, but not match for CRT. Still ET is playable with it, so I'm happy with it
Hey pal, I had one of the older models the SyncMaster 910MP which I still got and is pretty decent and good. Mostly bought it because I can use my tv on it and use the PIP function, but well the speakers have started to fail a bit, but else it has been very good - It's 4-5 years old so can't complain.
