too much hassle, mousefixes and win progs wont work, gfx/sound driver issues, too many problems I cba to deal with ;(

lots of hassle but when you have 125 fps smooth and regular as a swiss watch ... it's worth it if you want to play et properly.

used to have stable 333 on radar tricking with an amd 3000+ @2.4ghz and x850xt-pe, and else I had rock solid 125 fps on 50 slot publics, windows isn't that shit, must be some hardware conflict imo, might try a different brand of mainboard :o

Got a e8400 @3.6ghz and i still get 125fps stable so either gpu drivers or shitty hd is slowing you down or maybe you need to defrag your hd. Or you can just say fuck it and format.

How could the HD slow me down, game is 6 years old and a 7200rpm Western Digital should be enough. Well I did install the newest drivers for my card cuz of mw2 but I've had this only with ET since catalyst 8.10. Even updated pb.. Never even had a cheat on my PC, it's not fair ;(

not for me, pb must hate my hardware combo cuz no matter what I do I always end up with spikes from 10-35% and it just doesn't feel smooth, mouse starts feeling rly sluggish and it's almost impossible to track without it looking like you have parkinsons.. Don't even wanna mention the hitreg, I try gibbing people crouched from 3 meters shooting at stomache and miss 3 out of 6 shots :S It's just not meant to be.

I just oc'd for the lulz too see how many fps i'd get and it was still lagging with the 4ghz settings I tested a few months back with prime so has nothing to do with the OC, it's stable.. gonna go back to 3ghz tho, don't need it

and try not using all cores for et, only one and best a core with the least usage etc pp..

e8400, et.exe takes 50% on core 0 or core 1, both the same. I use a dual core manager to set pb and et on different cores from windows startup but it doesn't rly help.
