maybe now you will understand:

there is a bug which was giving me that error everytime i make the playoffs, the bug didnt appear only when putting 1st team vs 1st team, and i was only testing

it's automatic but it wasn't working (gives me tree size =17 error) so i tried editing it to group a 1st vs group x 1st and it worked, but the automatic or the pic i posted above never worked

I still don't get why you don't use the old "1st from group A vs 2nd from group B" pattern.
