wnb american or wat, stay in your own country!
tryed != tried
They don't take underweight people in their teams.
Its pretty expensive, my brother is studying in changai. And at first the goverment didnt want to give him a scolarship cuz the uni is not in Europe. But after lots of shit he managed to get a scolarship :P. thats some of the stuf you'll need to look at I suppose.
yeah well I've contacted some people that got more knowledge about how Denmark is looking on this kinda thing. Because at least what I can find, we are one of the country where we get financial support because they hope we will come back with new knowledge :) But you're absolutly right, important point.

I'm from Holland studying in San Francisco right now on a basketball scholarship. Just see where you want to move and just contact the school. I must say with tuition going crazy here (+36% next semester) you should not really count on getting a scholarship cause a lot of the Americans get priority over foreign students. Also be prepared to make at least one trip up and down to actually tryout and show them what you got. This is different at every school though. Hope this clears things up a little.
Do you have a good website for all the Universitys (Or is it college? I'm done with smt like highschool/college and if I did read it correctly I have do undergraduate first.)

How hard is it?
Is it expensive? (This sport thing is not a must but ofc. it would be cool)
Those TESTS and so before you can go - how are they?
Etc :P

Thanks already pal.

First the difference between College and University means that in college you can get your AA and in University your Bachelor, ones your done with that some university's have graduate pro grammes where you can go get your master.

Then I do not know your educational background but that could make a big difference as to wether you get accepted or not as most schools (especially the good private ones have high accepting standers). You will need stuff like SAT's and TOEFL tests to get accepted as a foreign student into a university directly. Which can be pretty tough

Prices vary, city college is relatively cheap (30 dollars a unit), state university's go around 8,000 a semester and then private schools (Ivy League, UC's) they will be with the new fee increase next semester around 20,000 a semester. This is mostly for in state student, you will be an out of state student in most cases so be prepared to pay double.

A good way to surpass the high prices and still get a good education is by taking your General Education classes (60 Units) at a city college and then transfer to a University to focus on your major.

If the sport is not your priority then do not worry about it as ALL schools will have a couple of teams.

Okay do you know which is the most popular?
How do you get finances btw.? Does the goverment support you?
But compared to the dutch schools, is it hard then?
Parent
More expensive = more popular/better/harder to get in

Easy maths duh.
Parent
Huh? You actually didn't answer to any of my questions...I already did know that.

imo the amercan system regarding to tests etc. is easier than the european system.
tuition fee in the states is retarded but I did know some people from european countries studying on a sports scholarship at the hawaii pacific university. Quite a nice place to live for a few years! www.hpu.edu
You can do few hours of work every week for the university too, than you only pay half of the tuition fee.
if you don't want to work and you do not get the scholarship, prepare to pay around 40.000 dollar a year, and I believe thats even a cheap university over there? oh and than there is monthly appartment rent of about 600/700 dollar and of course your daily expenses...

Doesn't matter what the most popular one is, it really depends on what you are looking for. Every school has their own style so to speak. Like UC Berkeley is a really competitive school while UC Santa Barbara is know for its notorious partying and UC Davis has one of the better business management pro grammes. Also not all schools have the same majors so you should look into that as well. So just figure out where you want to move to and then start looking at schools in that area. There are just to many schools to randomly sum them up. Financially it can be really hard as in most cases you have to take out student loans if you plan on doing a full four year university education. I'm on a full scholarship so I can be considerd one of the lucky few.
Compared to Dutch schools is a piece of cake, but then Holland does have one of the tougher educational systems in the world. I feel like the quality of your English will determine your grade for at least the first semester.

Unless you have loads of money and/or are quite smart I wouldn't recommend it.
=> 700 dollar a month for appartment ( around 8000 a year) + 600 dollar a month for food and other stuff (around 7000 a year) + 5/10 000 dollar a year for entry fee to study at uni + if you want to travel or party a lot you may add quite a bit more too

If you want a cheap education in another country, pick a country in Europe. If money doesn't matter to you pick USA/Canada/Australia.

Anyway, the best way is to study in your country and go on exchange student for 6 months to the USA in your last year. When you do this you don't have to pay those several thousands dollars a year to entry it because it's part of your education from your school in your own country. You've seen and experienced most of the stuff in a much cheaper way and you get a sort of certificate too that you studied there.
dude.. the USA school educations are not so good for outsiders tbh.. better stay at your own country and finish your school.. when you're done you can talk about moving to the USA again.. but for now its worthless and you can't even just hop in to the USA like that.. you have to settle everything (room, car, money etc)you ever thought about that lol? And when you're alone dont even THINK about it! you will get lost asap!

GL anyway :) if you need help q me
well that's shitty advice imo... you have a massive advantage to go further in Europe if you had some education especially in the USA, UK, Canada or Australia.

Lol thanks for the advice...I already thought about -_- besides what xedos says is much more then just a fact.
Parent
go to uni in australia, you would have alot better time and it would be worth the money.
