How hard is it?
Is it expensive? (This sport thing is not a must but ofc. it would be cool)
Those TESTS and so before you can go - how are they?
Etc :P
Thanks already pal.
Then I do not know your educational background but that could make a big difference as to wether you get accepted or not as most schools (especially the good private ones have high accepting standers). You will need stuff like SAT's and TOEFL tests to get accepted as a foreign student into a university directly. Which can be pretty tough
Prices vary, city college is relatively cheap (30 dollars a unit), state university's go around 8,000 a semester and then private schools (Ivy League, UC's) they will be with the new fee increase next semester around 20,000 a semester. This is mostly for in state student, you will be an out of state student in most cases so be prepared to pay double.
A good way to surpass the high prices and still get a good education is by taking your General Education classes (60 Units) at a city college and then transfer to a University to focus on your major.
If the sport is not your priority then do not worry about it as ALL schools will have a couple of teams.
How do you get finances btw.? Does the goverment support you?
But compared to the dutch schools, is it hard then?
Easy maths duh.
tuition fee in the states is retarded but I did know some people from european countries studying on a sports scholarship at the hawaii pacific university. Quite a nice place to live for a few years! www.hpu.edu
You can do few hours of work every week for the university too, than you only pay half of the tuition fee.
if you don't want to work and you do not get the scholarship, prepare to pay around 40.000 dollar a year, and I believe thats even a cheap university over there? oh and than there is monthly appartment rent of about 600/700 dollar and of course your daily expenses...
Compared to Dutch schools is a piece of cake, but then Holland does have one of the tougher educational systems in the world. I feel like the quality of your English will determine your grade for at least the first semester.
china
poland
dubai
israel
afghanistan
:c
=> 700 dollar a month for appartment ( around 8000 a year) + 600 dollar a month for food and other stuff (around 7000 a year) + 5/10 000 dollar a year for entry fee to study at uni + if you want to travel or party a lot you may add quite a bit more too
If you want a cheap education in another country, pick a country in Europe. If money doesn't matter to you pick USA/Canada/Australia.
Anyway, the best way is to study in your country and go on exchange student for 6 months to the USA in your last year. When you do this you don't have to pay those several thousands dollars a year to entry it because it's part of your education from your school in your own country. You've seen and experienced most of the stuff in a much cheaper way and you get a sort of certificate too that you studied there.
GL anyway :) if you need help q me
