Hey Crossfire

I would like to ask if there are any DJs or Producers here?

If yes , what kind of style are you producing or djing?


Please no Music Maker crap or something like that.

Virtual DJ is ok if its a timecode cd/vinyl but a DJ should use CDJs or vinyl.


It would be nice if you could avoid random spam.

- producing minimal/deep house music (reason 4.0 with novation x-station 49 midi synth)
- having fun with traktor and my mouse + gonna buy Allan & Heath xone 64 with NI Kontrol X1 midi controller soon

am in a pretty early stages since i never had enough money and place. Ask me in one year ;]

btw: don't buy CDplayers, better buy traktor/serato with a decent midi controller (more possibilities, 4 decks.. + its cheaper). Decent turntables are damn expensive and so are vinyls (i'd rather buy a turntable than cdplayer)

If you never did that before + if money is not a problem i'd suggest you to take old mixer & two turntables with few vinyls. When it won't be enough anymore just sell them and do what i mentioned before (traktor, midi controller, mixer)..

If ur starting now get CDJs because vinyls not gna be around for that much longer.

I think vinyl is more fun but ah well theyre going to extinct

ohye and i used to DJ for fun and now some still some drum n bass when i'm bored

im producing mainly progressive house/trance but jungle is my desire too :)) (FL Studio + EMU XBoard 61, i recoomend it, very nise keyboard but not too expensive. I have tested some m-audio keyboards and those were like toys compared to this.

and im deejiing atm with pioneer cdj 200 + denon x-120

ja ce se bo dal plate nabavt definitivno, neki se s kolegi menmo sam pac ni se dnara.. ma pa kolega 2x technics tko da neki bo =)

sej plate niso tak problem ce bos rolau techno.. sam je problem ker so drage k prasica + ponavad zmeri najdes plato kjer ti je en komad vsec, tadruh je pa cisti safr.

Ma ce bi jest meu 2 technicsa bi defo zaceu na plate rolat ker se tko najvec naucis zarad motorja k ga majo turntejbli. Zarat tizga pride do nihanja in sound pade vn iz synca tko da mors popravlat, mislt pa poslusat skoz.

Je pa fajn slisat da hoce se kdo techno rolat. Dej ce bos rabu kej plat napis pa bom jest pr frendih mal prasau ker vem da so jih ponujal neki en cajt nazaj.

I'm using the CDJ's 1000 mk3's from Pioneer. I think it's the second best product atm after the new cdj's from pioneer.
