fuck autocad, sucks balls. proengineer, solidworks and catia are much better

well autocad is quite simple and is nice for using, but nowadays it's becoming really useless and unpractical. :)

well it depends on if you are into 2D or 3D, others are much better for that than autocad. :)

Depends mainly on what you plan to do. Here for exemple if you want to work in construction, you can gtfo if you can't use autocad since they all use it. In mecanical engineering you shouldn't use it at all. :)

these progs don't have the same purpose. Acad is meant to create plans (2d) (DAO) while the others are designed to make the whole package (CAO, 3d).
But I kinda agree that autocad sux. (and autocad 3d shouldn't exist ;))

well with these programs you can make documentations too, they aren't just for 3d models but it's really sad that we use autocad at machinery school..

on autocad site u can find some models

althro try to look for someone who makes such stuff, sometimes u can dl DWG's after ur regged
