The power of YouTube!

Uruguayan producer Fede Alvarez uploaded a short film called "Ataque de Panico!" to YouTube and has been offered a $30m contract to make a Hollywood film.

The clip featured giant robots invading and destroying Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay.

The movie will be sponsored by director Sam Raimi, whose credits include the Spiderman and Evil Dead films.

The thought of Sam Raimi scouring YouTube looking for funny cat videos and stumbling across this guy makes me happy :D

By the looks of it he was already pretty decent and engaged in filmmaking before he got the contract.
the promote vid looks great
quite an awesome vid
seems someone learnt something from videocopilot :)))
the video is just pure awesomeness!
amazing, one hell of a work done there :) i hope the movie will be at least as good as this vid :)
i rly don't get the hype of susan boyle, some really, REALLY ugly old lady who has never kissed before, started singing, big deal
Nothing impressive, same shit as War of the Worlds or Transformers etc.. Special effects are nice tho but it's gonna be another special-effects-crap-movie.
Was more the fact that he did it on a tiny budget single-handedly :)

Yes that's awesome but for me it's not full-length movie worthy.

The concept isnt very original, but the way he portrayed it shows alot of skill
