I removed Win7 due to constant problems and it didn't like my overclock. Constant BSOD now back to XP without 1 BSOD! ET runs fine now also, with Win7 I was getting kicked for API errors, PB errors etc...
It's because you are a newb. I am running windows 7 since the very 1st beta at laptop, and since September at normal pc and everything works perfectly fine. Never had a BSOD, ET works great, everything.
Not a newb LOL, I was using BETA also, I was the first to have working Win7 from technet :). Also the problem is with overclocking, many people have it! I guess 90% of Win7 users here who experience problems are newbs?:/
nice, yeah i looked at that one before but i need to get one that will fit on a xfx 780i mobo, im not sure about the clearance as theres a big heat block below the cpu, any experience with this?
and i wanna spend around £30, maybe ill see if they come down in price a bit after christmas :)
site dedicated to reviewing heatsinks&coolers. the mugen is HUGE and HEAVY and while it was at the top at the time it probably wouldn't be my first choice anymore
why in hell would we need multiple desktops, worked some time with ubuntu, never felt a moment that i had to use it (if you use a res that is high enough there is space enough to settle everything :))
care about some 3d cubes, i play games while you're watching your 3d cubes in ubuntu...
and i never felt like playing games in ubuntu...
it was already quite hard to get right graphic card drivers of the new released HD4870 when i bought it, so...
i want my windows to look as win98 did! thats why w7 is shit. no classic mode. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
doesn't work on ATi 3850 AGP! no working linux drivers avi.
Linux will never grow big unless it's get proper support from hardware devs, they need to supply the drivers. And then it's needs to be alot easier to get ET working with sounds! In windows it's instal and play. Try that in ubuntu.
I even got to edit some files to get all of my mouse buttons working in ET, back/forward was working in firefox, but not in games.
Linux has so many cons atm that for most normal PC users it will save them a lot of problems when the stick with windows. Even I uninstalled ubuntu because I was getting sick of fixing everything, almost no program works out of the box, you need to instal lib this and lib that.
But except for that ubuntu is great to work with xD
ye, all the linux fanboys think their operating system is superior to windows. They are right about linux being a good operating systeem, but it's nothing to the ease of using windows.
They can say windows got alot of error's etc, but those errors mostly get created by the user himself. I haven't reinstalled my windows for the last 2 years, still working like a charm. But hey, I only got the programs installed I need, and I don't try 5 hacks/cracks/whatever everyday.
The problem with windows isn't windows itself, it are the programs which are badly written. Mostly the shareware programs all the kids are trying, only a few companies managed to write a decent uninstaller in windows, most leave behind half of the trash :(

now stop hating :) k thx
really shines with a laptop just because i don't like to close things or reboot ever, clutter would be horrible without it
and i never felt like playing games in ubuntu...

too lazy to convince him about that, luckily someone else did it for me

So its the same with Linux and hardware, its not linux problem itself, its hardware producers :)
