Christmas is overrated

So far nearly no one understands the fact that I don't celebrate christmas. My parents are ahteists and on christmas-eve we just have a nice dinner but we don't celebrate it at all and there are no presents to be given aswell.

Only Belgium Fratske doesn't celebrate christmas either from all the people I've spoken to so far.

Any non-celebraters out here?

Don't flame during the christmas period. I know it's hard not to be resentful towards other people because Poland has such a crappy economy that you guys can't even celebrate. But there is no need to ruin it for other people.

im not very into christmas also. i get presents but dont make myself to anyone. it has become a huge commercial sale and thats it. maybe when i was a kid i had a xmas feeling or whatever but now it is just another day in calender exept its a red one =)

No celebration here.
Few guys from my family come over tomorrow for lunch but that's all. When I was younger my christmas gift would be to go skiing the whole week and that's way better than material stuff I don't need.

well now I live much closer to the mountains so we don't need to take a whole vacation week to go there, only need good snow / weather conditions. That's way better :D

Well, it's a special day and you don't have to celebrate it : )

I for myself like the idea of makin/buyin and gettin gifts... Don't care too much bout the religious part. Celebrated it with my best friends yesterday and gonna have a nice evenin with my small family tonight.

Estonia is the most ahteistic country in the world according to some studies. We also just eat a bigger dinner with some traditional stuff and give presents. No religion is involved.

I'm an atheist but I celebrate christmas for the ritual. I love giving presents and receiving them as well. My christmas has nothing to do with religion or church, I celebrate it for the fun! ;)
