The Shining (Stanley Kubrik version)
Psycho (Hitchcock the master)
Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead (by Romero, the Snyder remake of Dawn is good too)
The first 2 Alien movies (Alien and Aliens) are pretty scary but they're more sci-fi horror.
