my dearest community which always has an opinion about anything,
i'm getting a new phone + contract @ KPN (dutch) and some guy called me with this offer:
- 190 minutes for 21.50 a month
- 265 minutes for 27.50 a month
i think ill go for the first one, plenty of minutes for me :)
but now the big prob, WHICH PHONE?!
I can pick a phone from the following list:
www.verlengenbijkpn.nl
it needs to be easy to use for browsing and should be easy to tweak :)
which one would you advise, and why?:)
cheers

why: it has snake mofo
1000 free minutes
800 free smg messages
+ free internet
=
£25
oh and nokia sux @ touchscreens, cause s60 just isnt a touchscreenOS...
1000min
1000sms/mms
1gb
for
15€
I would buy my own phone and use sim only.
i have orange:
1000 minutes all over austria
1000 sms all over austria
100 minutes into the european union
first 6 months: € 0,--
from january on, im gonna pay € 12,50
your provider must be retarded
how can you survive with 190 minutes geez
When you come to renew your contract, call up your provider, and if they're anything like Orange in the UK they'll do you a good deal to keep you (you may want to try "making up" a contract you've seen elsewhere so they're inclined to beat it.)
I have 800mins, unlimited sms, 50mb data and the sony ericsson w995 for £20 a month over 12 months. Basically, it was as cheap to get that contract with the phone free as it would have been to buy the standalone handset.
To answer your question, I'd take the blackberry.
ok checked the list, no iphone. from there i would definatly advice one of the following, and never ever bother to look at any of the other phones(nokia's touchs are a big joke)
Blackberry 9000
Sony Ericsson W995
Nokia E71
HTC Hero
There are some okay phones there, but these 4 are the winners...from the best to worst, that usually depends on what you use, but for me it'd be HTC -> Blackberry ->SE -> E71.
I get 1000 minutes and unliminted texts and inet access. Without the inet its 25 a month but you'll need it with web access on the phone.
The Hero has its problems, like a rubbish phone in low light, but it is great and is due a software upgrade to fix a few of the bugs in January I think.
Oh yeah and as Ollz says kick up a fuss with your current provider. Ring them and ask for deals. If they don't offer you something nice say you'll quit and ask for a supervisor who will always offer you a better deal.
The blackberries are also nice, but don't know if you like those :D
