Razer Imperator

Happy New Year everyone!

I would like to buy a new gaming mouse for my laptop, since i have a still good Logitech G5 on my PC... well anyone know anything about Razer Imperator? the ergonomy looks like a G5 copy, thats why i think it would be a good choice since i m using a g5 for like 2 years now. advantages and disadvantages of razer / imperator? Anyone tried it?

Imo its just what your used to. If you've been playing with some basic microsoft mouse for several years it'll do just fine. I think that you get used to those gaming mouses rather quickly though because they are so easy to handle and they work very smooth.

could have been ok but they used a phillips twin eye laser (afaik) = mouse skips. And it weights more than a DA which is already too heavy :/

Nope. My 518 is lighter than my DA :)
Gonna get an IE3 soon because it should be lighter than DA and more comfortable than the 518.
Btw isn't your Talent wearing off a bit ? Mine isn't gliding properly anymore but I think it's because I washed it with a brush that wasn't soft enough. :/ (ordered a puretrak deluxe and might try the zowie g-tf depending how's the puretrak)

well i heard about new revision of DA which is heavier than older one(not 3500 version, just new revision of 1800)
Also it has lighter blue leds instead of more violet old ones and bigger LOD of the sensor
Mine is old one, weights about 106 grams by default, same as mx518(+/- 2 grams, don't remember for sure). Sad that you have an older one :(
+ I recently i made a weight mod so it's even lighter now, weight reduced by about 10 grams without visible changes :P

And im not using puretrak atm

you can accelerate from 0 to sonic speed in one second, and the mouse will recognize it!
