iPhone alternatives

Yow,

i am planning to invest in a new mobile phone, since i am not satisfied with my nokia 5800 xm.
so i need your suggestions for mobile phones comparable to the iphone (touchscreen, nice internet useability etc) for a price around 400euros.
it should be without a contract btw.

any suggestions?

I have the LG renoir it's a very good sellphone, the internet is even free... (amazing isn't it), and it's very fast aswell!) But if u want the 3D version take the LG arena, it's a good phone newer and better and faster wifi ...

I'd go for the Nokia N97, think I'll buy that one too, since I have the same requirements like you do. It costs 200€ with a contract (o2).

I guess it'll be hard then to find something near to the iphone functions with 400€. Even the Nokia N97 costs like 500€ and it's actually not "that" special. xq

why u cant buy iphone? i got it last week...truly an amazing phone, the nerds here who whine at it are just retards who didn't have the chance to experience it a lot

but well...HTC Hero is currently the only phone that can be compared to iphone. no nokia or motorrola...
google also are making an phone, nixon or something, worth a look

Look into the android based phones.. Recently got a HTC Hero, it's really sweet!

And who knows, if i get sufficiently bored a Crossfire-for-android app might appear!

Inb4 all the shit i should fix before making that

I also have a nokia 5800 xm and i dont like it aswell, sometimes everything is deleted (music photo's apps etc) from my memory card / phone :/

If you're on a tighter budget, go for Blackberry Curve 8520, pretty cheap for a BB.

i got an Lg arena since july!

pretty cool phone! my sis bought iphone, thats ofc much better, but not really compareable! apples technology is much more advanced!
one time the touch thingy didn't work so i couldn't answer a call and shit, but that happend once, so no problem! maybe it were my fingers xD

no but seriously the wifi is pretty could, even u can't watch utube vids via wifi, just via the utms shit!

but its good for the price!

N97 or g1. Cellis without keyboard sux. Writing emails or stuff like crossfire replies without keyboard is rly annoying :-[

E: btw coding android applications is pretty easy if you need smth customized

it's better than iphone on some of the categories :P but its more of a buisness phone, rather than iphone, more fun applications and fun and such(dont expect much fun from the htc hero)

The only one even remotely close is the HTC Hero. You can buy mine off me if you want, It doesn't work in the UK but it has been Sim-unlocked so it can work on all networks in the world.

You could wait for either the Google Nexus or HTC Bravo with those both running Android 2.1. You also have the Nokia N900 and the Sony-Xperia both released soon.

Personally, I would save and get an iPhone. Or if you can, wait till June and get the iPhone HD when it gets released.
