lol yesterday some loser bet all of his student loan money (4400£, odds were 1.01) on Angola to win when they were 4-0 up with 10min to go. He thought he would win some easy money :DDDD Needless to say, Mali came back in the last 10min to draw 4-4 :DDDDD

Well if you bet on a team to win (Angola) that is winning 4-0 10min before the end of the match, I would say it's a quite safe bet. What's the chance that it would go to 4-4? Almost zero. Don't think it happened a lot in competitive football so in theory it was more or less a guaranteed 44£, not bad. But we all know how it turned out to be =)

Well, betting agencies only work with 2 numbers after the comma so the odds here were 1.01 (lowest possible). He would win 1% (not 0,1%) of his money while the real odds should have been 1.0000001 because the chance that the other team would draw or win was like 1 chance in a million. Mathematically he should only have won like 0,000001% of his money (that was the risk) but now he could win 1% so it was actually a very good decision.

If you see it pure mathematically, it was a very good decision, just very unlucky in this case. It was stupid to use his student load money though.^^
