Marouane Chamakh

Liverpool have beaten off their rivals by securing the signature of striker Marouane Chamakh for £25m. Arsenal, Inter Milan and Juventus were all after the Bordeaux man, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

he's really good:( I was hoping he would come to Arsenal

btw liverpool buying strikers with Torres, Kuyt already there? They also bought Maxi Rodriguez I think

What the....£25m for someone whos out of contract in the summer, when I first read this I thought someone just forgot to the . in to make it 2.5m.

And while Bordeaux will receive nothing for the loss of their key forward, the player himself will reportedly snare a £12m signing-on fee and wages of around £60,000 per week - which adds up to £25m.

So they "only" pay 12m and the rest are hes wages
