intel q9400

Hey, I got the intel q9400 (2.66 ghz) I read on most forums that I could easily be overclocked (up to 4ghz with no problems). Any pro to give me hints? What cooling system would you recommand?

water cooling
coolermaster v8 <- using it for my dual core cpu atm, 3,6ghz, idle 30°c, load ~44°
alpenföhn brocken or another big one :P

WC is useless. Buy a good aircooling system instead like Noctua NH-U12P SE2.

What's your mobo, ram and PSU ?

open notepad

write /overclock q9400 to 4ghz

save as overclock.txt and put it into windows folder

well alst year i wanted to overclock my cpu so i researched really well and the best option back then was sychte ninja or tuniq tower but atm im not so up-to-date:)
