On, what should have been a awesome day in the NFL Playoff - The 26 years old DE for the Chicago Bears, Gaines Adams died earlier today

He did feel like he had healthy problems, and his girlfriend called an ambulance and got into the Hospital, but died by cardic arrest (enlarged heart)

steroids hasnt been proven to do anything. there's been no extensive study on it. in all honesty, your body produces steroids. it's only a matter of how much you take.

obviously we know that. there's just no extensive research ever done on steroids. therefore, the long term side effects of steroids are still unknown.

well you can't really test them on humen because they are illegal to use, and the ones that use them for medical care are in different situations than normal ppl. Also the portions in medical treatment are a lot smaller than those bodybuilders take. But I'm sure ppl have tried them on animals, and there must be enough test data and publications on them

steroids can affect other ppl more severely. Also it can be just one time shot, if he took a horseload of them. Or maybe he took a lot steroids but didn't train hard so his muscles didn't grow as much as others' with lower portions. Anyway without some rare medical condition, steroids is basically the only reason for heart probs at that age

(athletes don't do drugs)

ok let's see what's the final result on that case, but also steroids can make heart muscle grow a bit. Usually athletes' hearts grow more because it gets stronger while training
