lift-off distances

Is there a possible way to lower lift-off distances of razer deathadder? It's so annoying its still tracking when i lift it up.
Thank you in advance

solder a red led instead of infared one
- put more glidz on it
- lifting distance is depended on the colour of your mousemat. Afaik black was the longest or shortest lifting distance.

Tbh, DA is a pretty fucked up mouse. you need to patch the firmware to get rid of the autocorrection drawing straight lines. It also only works at it best when running maximum dpi (1800 these days?). Using lower dpi made the mouse skip like crazy.
450dpi/1000hz here and mine hardly skips, and about updating yes, it's the lazy way for razer to support their product but it's hardly an effort to fix it.

I'm not sure if the firmware fixed the mouse skipping at lower dpi, though im pretty sure it skips out of the box. Using sens 2.3 @ 450dpi, dunno what you are using.

oww if i put more glidz on it, it feel like playing with a camion instead of a car. Too high somehow.

Try a different mousepad and see how it goes.

i am playing on my self-made wood pad, cant really switch to other after years. I have qpad but dont like textile...
Parent
it skips on QCKs unless you rotate the pad

red led instead of optical idd, tried it myself and it works fine ^^
where do they sell those red ones and is it better/worse/other difference but the lift-off distance?
Parent
Radioshack afaik, but I just used one of an old mouse. The lift-off distance is alot less =D.
Parent
for DA or your abyssus?
btw could you tell how abyssus acts on pads you have(the jittering problem)
Parent
Abyssus, but i'm 100% sure it also works on da's. The jittering on the abyssus basically occurs on all textile pads if you don't hold the mouse straight (as in 90° to the pad).

ye it bothers me aswell, time for a new mouse perhaps.
well i am not using DA now because its very annoying i use my old ms1.1, If you have med or high sensitivity then this is the perfect mouse. and cheap !
