mouserate & vista

The other night I tried increasing my mouserate but it wasn't as easy as it could have been. The problem is that I have vista x64. I tried two different programs/tutorials for it, hidusbf and gabts patcher, but neither of them really worked out :E So is there anyone who has succesfully increased mouserate on vista and who's willing to tell me how it's done?

Also I'm looking for a nice guy who has an incredible aim to have some duels with me every once in a while.
