I just got my new MacBook...

...and its already broken!

Full Story: Just came back from my local "MediaMarkt" where i got myself a brandnew MacBook (2.26GHz/2GB/250GB), after they told me that the iMac i5 isnt in stock. Connected the power and network-cable and pressed the start button. Sound was coming and cawoooooooooooooooooooosh - the symbol for "No HDD found" is blinking on my screen.

I have to bring it back tomorrow and if they got none left in stock I swear i gonna break someone's neck!

Hope you enjoyed my little Story - kthxbb

Getting a macbook usually results in shattered dreams.

There surely is another Media Markt or Saturn nearby, just get your money back and get to some other store.

Gonna get myself a MB as well in summer. Around august after I finished my bachelor. Hope I am luckier than you though :-P

what is so special in mac except for the virus free?
for me its the os and the portability ("up to 7h" on battery)
Parent
what's so special in the OS :/ to me MAC sounds stupid but i really don't know what is his advantages
Parent
super usability, very intuitive usage, awesome multitasking

compared to windows even fast with all those build in tools
Parent
its simple - not like windows or linux where you have to install drivers and tons of software to get your shit working. you could call it a os for noobs, but im currently working in an IT-environment and im tired of things not working (i hate doing helpdesk!).
Parent
well im a game, it's definitely not for me..
Parent
So it's just "press ON and work" system? And you dont have to learn anything, just use it?

I just cant believe that. Also, I think that Windows is pretty intuitive either. And whats the problem in installing two CDs after the format which I'm doing once every two years or so? :)

I mean, what you said about Mac might be right, but the difference aint explicit enough in exchange for all the downsides of macs.
