I live in central Finland some kilometres outside a medium-sized town.. But such places exist, and in fact are very common in towns, too. Obviously mainly in the "suburb" areas.
That pic is from last winter, though. There's a bit more snow at the moment, but apart from that ~nothing has changed.
Well, I did like sledding when I was young, but that's about it. Never enjoyed skiing or ice skating and whatever. Every winter we used to go to this huge hill that had a small path running on it. We used to sledge down this path all day long, and after a few days it was all frozen, which was where the fun began because then you could slide down it without a sledge.
Now that I think of it afterwards it was quite silly business. The completely frozen path could have gotten some old geezer killed if they slipped on it, and all my trousers ended up having holes in them. Oh well, good times.
