Euro 2012 predictions

A: Germany + Turkey

Germany got an easy group. Turks ain't playing that good (maybe too many euro transfers to their league?). Belgium is poor nowadays ( no Enzo Scifo, no win). Austria = typical mid team; can cause an upset but can also lose some points to a weaker team. Turkey was still better than Belgium at last WC quali, they should make it to the 2nd place.

B: Russia + Slovakia

1st poule for Russia should do the trick. Although Slovakia played really well in last WC quali, I expect them to finish on 2nd place. Some of them will get transferred to a better team, so some of them could start benching.

C: Italy + Serbia

One of the toughest groups, if not the toughest. 4 teams fighting for top spots. Northern Ireland played well at home, sucked at away games. The same should happen in this quali. Slovenia should have a close fight against Serbia, it's 50/50, my vote goes for Serbia. And I can't imagine Euro without maccaroni.


D: France + Bosnia & Herzegovina

Although France sucks hard nowadays, I think they will change their coach and everything will start getting smooth again. Still, an easy group for them. Romania - crisis, so Bosnia & Herzegovina should take a 2nd place, especially after good performance at last WC quali. Albania can even finish on 3rd place.

E: Netherlands + Sweden

1st place clearly for Dutchies. First Scandinavian battle should go to Sweden, although Finland shown some good games recently. Hungary for 4th place, can steal some ties at home games.

F: Greece + Croatia

Croatia is lucky to meet Greece, hovewer I expect Greece to take a 1st spot in that group. I see that group as underrated. Latvia isn't honestly that bad and Israel as well. Again, Greece, Israel and Latvia in the same group.

G: England + Switzerland

Capello's England looks quite good. 2nd place to Switzerland, I can't see any chance of other solution in that group.

H: Portugal + Denmark

Again Portugal and Denmark. Also, 2nd Scandinavian battle. 50/50 for 1st place between Portugal and Denmark. Norway - crisis, just as Romania nowadays. Flo's, Rekdal's times are over. Last quali shown that very well (8 games, 10 pts).

I: Spain + Czech Republic

1st place is not questionable. Czech Republic didn't play well at last games (desperately missing Rosicky), hovewer, other opponents does not seem to be strong. Unless Scotland wakes up.
